Agrotrade to Invest 0.5 Million UAH in Agriculture

The group Agrotrade allocates 8.5 million UAH (1 USD - 7.96 UAH) for investment in the production of grains and oilseeds, and increases land bank by another 5,000 hectares to 45,000 hectares.

In addition, the group plans to invest approximately 500 thousand UAH in the introduction of satellite monitoring. This will help effectively control the use of combustibles and lubricants, optimize logistics, as well as monitor the quality of the fieldwork, the holding reported.

Among the plans of the group there is an almost twofold increase in the acreage under buckwheat, to 1,120 hectares compared with 632 ha in 2010.

Last year, Agrotrade separated cereal seed production in a strategic direction, increased the area of seed plots to 3,000 hectares and began shipping barley seeds to Russia.

Agroindustrial group Agrotrade has been working on the Ukrainian grain market since 1998. It includes 12 elevators and grain enterprises with a total capacity of storing 550 thousand tons in five regions of Ukraine. The Group manages 40 thousand hectares of fertile farmland in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
